A
new beginning is on the horizon for junior drum corps activity in the City
of Bridgeport. Sponsored by the Bridgeport Police Activities League, the
PAL Buccaneers announce the formation of the first junior drum and bugle
corps in Bridgeport since the late '60's. Under the direction of Carl
Rodia and PAL Director, Mike Marella, the corps has already started weekly
rehearsals at their practice facility, the PAL Activities Center, 7 Quarry
Road in Bridgeport. They are actively recruiting new corps members and
volunteers to help with the organizational aspects of the corps. It is
great to see that the traditions of two great Bridgeport corps, more than
30 years ago, are being incorporated into this new and exciting youth
activity
